A remake of MAN WITHOUT A STAR that falls miles short of the original directed by King Vidor in 1955. Franciosa is a drifter who takes a job on West's ranch during a local range war. He takes Easterner Sarrazin under his wing to make the city slicker into a cowpuncher. Their friendship is destroyed when they find themselves pitted against each other in the range war.
