Hope is a United Nations department head who finds an abandoned baby in the UN building. Since no one knows who the baby is or where he's from, Hope is wooed by a variety of international beauties in a strange contest to see which country will get the kid. Hope finally decides to keep the
baby and delivers a speech to the General Assembly about international brotherhood. There are some good laughs for Hope and a nice supporting cast, but the plot is pretty standard and predictable. Hope's final speech is unbelievably pretentious. Look for Adlai Stevenson's walk-on and sports legend
