A Dog's Best Friend

A ranching couple, Williams and Henderson, adopt Mobley, a mean-spirited and bitter little boy who immediately dislikes his new parents. The boy finds a wounded German Shepherd, a Marine-trained canine, and begins to spend all of his time with it, in the process finding a gun the dog had taken when it fled from the house where its master had been murdered. Mobley then comes upon the killer and is saved from a like fate by the dog, who attacks the killer and wrests the gun out of his hand.
