Canadian police Inspector Robinson links three murders to scientist Dolenz and thinks that the noted physicist could be the next victim. Unknown to Robinson, Van Eyck, a sinister proponent of communism, has hired infamous gangster Raft to "convince" Dolenz that he should join Van Eyck's group. Robinson tracks down Van Eyck, who plans to get rid of the troublesome inspector before he can destroy his fiendish plot. When Raft learns that Van Eyck is a communist and that his group plans to take over the world, Raft himself saves Robinson and Dolenz but dies in the process.
