Tron: Legacy Tops Weekend Box Office
The premiere of Tron: Legacy led the weekend box office with $43.6 million, according to Box Office Mojo.
The opening weekend for the sequel to the 1982 film, which stars Jeff Bridges and Garrett Hedlund, has already surpassed the domestic total for the original movie, which was $33 million. The original film pulled in $4.8 million in its opening weekend.
Debut of third Narnia film leads box office
Yogi Bear, starring Dan Aykroyd and Justin Timberlake, opened to $16.7 million. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader followed with $12.4 million, bringing its domestic total to $42.8 million.
After a soft opening on Dec. 10, which landed the film at No. 19 last weekend, The Fighter hit more than 2,500 theaters and surged to fourth place with $12.2 million. The Tourist, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, followed with $8.7 million.
Tangled ($8.68 million) and Black Swan ($8.3 million) were sixth and seventh, respectively.

How Do You Know, which had a reported $120 million budget stars Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson and Jack Nicholson, pulled in only $7.6 million in its debut.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 ($4.85 million) and Unstoppable ($1.8 million) rounded out the top 10.
