Titans Conquer Easter Weekend Box Office

Clash of the Titans ruled the box office, taking in $61.4 million to become the film with the biggest Easter weekend opening ever.
Box Office Mojo's estimates show that the action-packed remake easily trumped the previous record held by Scary Movie 4, which opened to $40.2 million in 2006. Titans' total, including Thursday midnight showings, is $64.1 million.

Debuting in second place was Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too? with $30.2 million, narrowly edging last weekend's champ, How to Train Your Dragon, which earned $29.2 million. The animated film now stands at $92.3 million.
Miley Cyrus' romantic drama The Last Song generated $16.2 million for a fourth-place opening and a five-day total of $25.6 million.

Alice in Wonderland, the year's highest-grossing movie to date, landed at No. 5, adding another $8.3 million to its haul — now $309.8 million.
Rounding out the top 10: Hot Tub Time Machine (No. 6, $8 million); The Bounty Hunter (No. 7, $6.2 million); Diary of a Wimpy Kid (No. 8, $5.5 million); She's Out of My League (No. 9, $1.463 million); and Shutter Island (No. 10, $1.462 million).
