A-Team Hopes to Bring "A" Game to Silver Screen

The A-Team
We love it when a plan comes together.
Twentieth Century Fox's big-screen adaptation of NBC's The A-Team now includes director Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces) and producers Ridley and Tony Scott, Variety reports. Original series producers Jules Daly and Stephen J. Cannell are also on board for the film, with the studio eyeing a June 11, 2010 release.
Though no roles have been cast, production is set to start in June after Carnahan and Brian Bloom rework a screenplay by Skip Woods. The 1980s series, about U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers on the run for a crime they didn't commit, centered on Vietnam veterans, but the movie will use the Middle East as the tour of duty locale.
Fox has long labored to transform the series into a film, with several directors, actors and producers attached, including John Singleton.
