No Strings Attached

Fresh off her Golden Globe win for her performance in Black Swan, Natalie Portman's new film, No Strings Attached, debuted atop the box office, Box Office Mojo reports.

The romantic comedy, also starring Ashton Kutcher, earned $20.3 million in its first weekend. Portman, who's expecting her first child this year, is considered a leading contender in the Oscar race for best actress.

Green Hornet tops Martin Luther King Weekend box office

Last week's No. 1 film, The Green Hornet, fell 46 percent from last weekend to gross $18.1 million — for a two-week total of $63.4 million. The Dilemma came in third, with $9.7 million.

With Academy Award nominations to be announced Tuesday, four contenders continued to perform well. The King's Speech came in at No. 4 with $9.2 million. True Grit followed at No. 5 with $8 million (amassing $138.6 million since its holiday release).

Portman's second film in the top 10, Black Swan, ranked sixth, grossing $6.2 million. The Fighter earned $4.5 million and placed No. 7.

Rounding out the top 10: Little Fockers (No. 8, $4.3 million), Yogi Bear (No. 9, $4 million) and Tron: Legacy (No. 10, $3.7 million).
