Simon Baker is poised to return to his legal roots — this time on the big screen.
The Aussie hunk, who played an attorney on The Guardian before he found The Mentalist, has joined the cast of The Killer Inside Me as an attorney, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Baker's character is on the trail of a small-town murderer, who turns out to be Casey Affleck's tortured cop. Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba co-star as Affleck's girlfriend and a prostitute, respectively.
Filming starts this week in New Mexico and Oklahoma.
