Scream 4 Set for 2011 Release

Scream 4 will hit theaters April 15, 2011.
Dimension Films announced Tuesday that original stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette will return for the new installment. Kevin Williamson, the scribe behind Scream and Scream 2, will also return, along with filmmaker Wes Craven, who has directed all three films in the franchise.
The fourth film will begin production this spring and will include several new cast members, according to Dimension Films.
Said Craven: "Kevin is right on his game with the new script — the characters and story crackle with energy and originality — to say nothing of some of the most hair-raising scares I've seen ... Let me at it."
Scream is widely credited with reviving the slasher genre after the film earned more than $100 million at the box office in 1996. Scream 2 was released in 1997 and Scream 3 premiered in 2000.
