Lara Croft to Raid Theaters Again — Minus Angelina

Lara Croft

Lara Croft is going on another big-screen adventure — but Angelina Jolie isn't coming along.

Warner Bros. and producer Dan Lin are planning a reboot of the Tomb Raider film series originated by Jolie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new franchise will revamp the Eidos video-game heroine, her mission and her origins to distance itself from the first two features, 2001's Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and 2003's Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. Paramount made the first two movies, but film rights were sold to Time Warner in December.

The new flick is still in early development with no writer attached yet. An actress will likely be cast after a scribe and director come on board. Would it be too obvious to suggest Megan Fox?

Who would you cast to take on the next tomb-raiding mission?
