The Other Guys Tops Weekend Box Office

Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg's new action comedy The Other Guys took the No. 1 spot at the weekend box office, putting an end to Inception's three-week reign.

The film, directed and co-written by Adam McKay, took in $35.6 million domestically, while Inception fell to second with $18.6 million (for a four-week total of $227.7 million), according to Box Office Mojo.
Coming in third was Step Up 3-D, earning $15.5 million in its debut weekend, followed by Angelina Jolie's Salt with $11.1 million. Steve Carell's comedy Dinner for Schmucks fell to No. 5 with $10.5 million.
Rounding out the top 10: Despicable Me (No. 6, $9.4 million); Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore (No. 7, $6.9 million); Charlie St. Cloud (No. 8, $4.7 million); Toy Story 3 (No. 9, $3 million) and The Kids Are All Right (No. 10, $2.6 million).
