Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron are about to become husband and wife on the silver screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar winners will team up for The Danish Girl to tell the tale of the world's first post-op transsexual.Based on the true story of Danish artists Elinar and Greta Wegener, Kidman will play Elinar, a man who posed as a woman model for one of his wife Greta's (Theron) pieces. After the painting became all the rage in 1920s Copenhagen, Greta encouraged her husband to maintain his female identity. The guise culminated in a groundbreaking 1931 sex-change operation, which put a strain on their relationship.Anand Tucker (Shopgirl) will direct the indie film, with a script by Lucinda Coxon, who adapted the story from David Ebershoff's 2000 fictionalized bestseller about the Wegeners.Pre-production has already commenced on the picture.Does this flick have Oscar written all over it? Can Kidman pull a Swank and be a man?
