Brüno Heads Straight to the Top of the Box Office

Bruno
Brüno beat dinosaurs at the box office, but can it beat Borat?
Sacha Baron Cohen's latest cringe-inducing mockumentary reeled in $30.4 million, good enough to win the weekend. But Brüno made half of its total on Friday and took an atypical nosedive over the weekend. Movies usually gross more over the weekend — Saturday especially — but Brüno only made $8.8 million on Saturday and $7.2 million on Sunday.

The weekend's other new release, Hayden Panettierre's I Love You Beth Cooper, tanked with $5 million to land in seventh place.
