Fraser and Ford Team Up for CBS Films' First Flick

Brendan Frazier, Harrison Ford

This is what you call a match made in tomb raider heaven.

Mummy main man Brendan Fraser has joined Indy himself, Harrison Ford, in CBS Films' first big-screen picture — but it has nothing to do with archaeology.

The actors will headline the tentatively titled Crowley, a medical drama based on the true story of John Crowley, whose two children suffered from a rare genetic disorder, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Determined to find a cure, Crowley enlists the help of a doctor (Ford) to save their lives.

"It's an inspirational drama with universally relatable themes," Amy Baer, CBS Films chief, said. "It's the kind of story where, like an Erin Brockovich or a Pursuit of Happyness, people want to go on the journey because they want to accomplish that for themselves."

Screenplay is by Robert Nelson Jacobs and is adapted from Geeta Anand's book, The Cure. Michael Shamberg, Stacy Sher and Carla Shamberg of Double Features will produce, while Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas) will direct.

Filming commences in April.
