Bradley Whitford, Richard Jenkins to Get Spooked in the Woods
Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford
Bradley Whitford and Richard Jenkins have Cabin fever.
The two are circling Joss Whedon's new horror flick, The Cabin in the Woods, The Hollywood Reporter reports. Jenkins has, in fact, already signed on while Whitford is in final negotiations.
The film is a twist on the tried-and-true formula of young folks stranded in the woods, according to director Drew Goddard (Lost), who cowrote the script with Whedon. "It's really just your basic typecasting: When you need two actors to run through the woods in low-cut nighties, you immediately think of Richard Jenkins and Bradley Whitford," Goddard joked. The actors will play white-collar colleagues who are mysteriously linked to the titular cabin.
Shooting is scheduled for the spring with an eye on a Feb. 5, 2010, release.
