For the first time in three weeks, Alice in Wonderland didn't take the top spot at the box office. How to Train Your Dragon debuted at No. 1, according to The Associated Press.
The DreamWorks animated flick opened with $43.3 million, dethroning Alice, which came in at No. 2 with $17.3 million. Its cumulative total stands at $293.1 million.
Alice in Wonderland wins box office for second straight weekend
Rounding out the top three movies of the weekend was John Cusack's Hot Tub Time Machine, which opened with $13.7 million.
