Anne Hathaway has found herself a fiancé, on screen at least.
The actress is slated to headline the Warner Bros. romantic comedy The Fiance, Variety reports.
Hathaway will play a woman who ends her engagement with her seemingly perfect betrothed in an effort to find herself, only to end up finding her overzealous parents trying to get them back together.
Burr Steers will direct, while Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment will produce. Originally written by Dyanne Stempel and Jennifer Robinson, the script is currently undergoing a rewrite by Etan Cohen.
Production will likely get underway in March, a shoot the WB is hoping to follow up with one for the Get Smart sequel in the summer, re-teaming Hathaway and Steve Carell.
