Anne Hathaway is taking a trip over the rainbow.
The Oscar nominee has been tapped to star in the Weinstein Co.'s Judy Garland biopic, Get Happy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film, still without a director and writer, is based on Gerald Clarke's biography of The Wizard of Oz star. The Weinstein Co. has optioned the book for a stage production as well, which will also star Hathaway. There is no word on which production will premiere first.
Like Garland, who began singing and acting as a toddler, Hathaway began her career at a young age, starring in The Princess Diaries franchise. She landed an Oscar nod for her role in Rachel Getting Married, and showed off her stage-performance chops with Hugh Jackman during a musical number that opened the Academy Awards in February.
Hathaway can next be seen off the big screen in a Shakespeare in the Park production of Twelfth Night this summer.
