After his recording career faltered and before he became
the Las Vegas entertainer, Wayne Newton gave acting a try. Here he plays a man on the run from the police because he is thought to be a car thief. He ends up at a camp for blind children that is run by Van Fleet. She mistakes Newton
for the handyman she was expecting, and Newton becomes beloved by the kids and Van Fleet. The police track him down, but he's cleared of charges when a drunk verifies Newton's story. Sugar-coated film has no surprises.
