After his recording career faltered and before he became the Las Vegas entertainer, Wayne Newton gave acting a try. Here he plays a man on the run from the police because he is thought to be a car thief. He ends up at a camp for blind children that is run by Van Fleet. She mistakes Newton for the handyman she was expecting, and Newton becomes beloved by the kids and Van Fleet.
