A murder occurs in the middle of a football game, yielding the title 70,000 WITNESSES. Gridiron star Buck Buchanan (Phillips Holmes), whose brother is a noted point shaver, is framed for the killing, but when a film of the quarter in which the death occurred is played over again at the request of the police, he is exonerated of the crime.
