A humdrum tale set in the English countryside during WW II as a group of German paratroopers attempt a takeover of a tiny hamlet. The invaders are aided by the local squire but meet violent opposition from the villagers. The clue that gives the Germans away is their habit of drawing a stroke through the number 7. A subject that should make one fill with pride and a sense of country, but only leaves one with heavy eyelids. leave a comment
