Peter Mitchell (Tom Selleck), Jack Holden (Ted Danson), and Michael Kellam (Steve Guttenberg) are three swinging bachelors who share an opulent penthouse apartment in Manhattan. Their unfettered existence is quickly thrown into turmoil, however, when they're forced to care for a baby
girl who unexpectedly turns up on their doorstep. Relentless in its pursuit of "cute," this comedy (a remake of the French film TROIS HOMMES ET UN COUFFIN) proved enormously popular at the box office. The leads acquit themselves fairly well, but the biggest winner is Selleck, whose low-key charm
and gift for light comedy are put to good use here.
