In a London apartment a Polish aristocrat (Newlands) lives with his wife (Addams). Their maid (Karam) sees Addams in an embrace with the neighbor (Goodliffe), an important member of Parliament. Karam threatens to expose Goodliffe to Newlands unless he pays her off. Goodliffe hires a private eye (Thorpe) to check out this young woman, but then both Karan and Newlands are found dead.
